Welcome to the Home Support Program
The Township of Osgoode Home Support Program provides a variety of home-based community support services to assist seniors and adults with physical disabilities to live independently in their own homes.
The Home Support Program is a registered charitable organization, incorporated in March 1990 by a volunteer Board of Directors who continues to oversee its governance. A small professional staff coordinates approximately 125 volunteers and 25 in-home workers ensuring clients receive services in Osgoode ward and neigbouring areas.
Home Support Program receives funding from a variety of sources including the Champlain Local Health Integrated Network (C-LHIN), City of Ottawa, United Way/Ottawa, service clubs, community groups and local business. As well it is supported by individual donations, in memoriam and fundraising activities. Client fees are charged for some services at a reasonable rate.
The Home Support Program is an active member of the Ottawa Community Support Coalition, Ontario Community Support Association, Council on Aging, Senior Citizen’s Council of Ottawa and Osgoode Ward Network. The Home Support Program promotes partnerships with other organizations to help support its community.
